Through our conversations, you will find that I am creative, practical, confident, loyal, fair, dependable, stubborn, good-humored, a self-starter, independent, and honest, among other things. You will also discover that I am very close to my family and friends and that most of my activities include my family and/or friends. I am very close to my family and often baby-sit my nephews. I wish I had children of my own so that my children and nephews could grow up together. I have several close friends and we have so much fun together camping, fishing, floating the river, going to concerts and fairs, shopping, movies, talking, and more. In fact, five of us recently floated the Santiam and got flashed by a male nudist. We had a great laugh about it despite the fact the guy was a pervert! I am looking for a warm-hearted Superman. Are you a nice guy that roots for the Boston Red Sox and OSU Beavers although your life does not revolve around sports? I'm not one of those gung-ho sports fans and do not own sports memorabilia. If you like fishing, particularly fly-fishing, why don’t you try hooking (up with) me? I am looking for a long term relationship that will most likely lead to marriage. We will have a lot in common if you like the outdoors, exercising, being at home, going out to movies, fairs and festivals, occasionally going out with friends, and traveling. I love exploring Oregon and would like to explore more of it with that special someone. I love the mountains and the Oregon coast, but enjoy daytripping in Portland, Eugene, and Salem. You are close to your family and have a few close friends. You prefer dogs to other types of pets, but love all animals. Of course, it would be icing on the cake if you were also romantic (and like it when I’m romantic toward you) and liked to cook. And, you get extra points if you know sign language. I am deaf and talk very well. I am a better communicator than most people because of the challenges I had to overcome in communicating with others. Knowing sign language however is not required, although it will help us have deeper and more intimate conversations. Yes, if you like going to music concerts, I will go with you. I've gone to Heart and Willie Nelson and loved both of them! Looking forward to going more concerts. I am actively improving and maintaining my health. This is a lifelong commitment for me. I am in terrific health, but would like to improve even more. I would say I am at 90% and I want 110%. It'd be fun if we worked out together. People have laughingly told me that when they talk with me, time disappears. I am a great conversationalist because not only do I talk, I also listen. I am easygoing, funny, compassionate, and articulate. I’m not the kind that jumps directly into a romantic relationship. I want to have a friendship first and see where it goes. I will not have it any other way. Let’s start with coffee then move onto outdoor activities and get to know each other. Maybe our friendship will blossom into a love match or maybe not. Either way, new friends are always welcome in my life. Yes, I am a current member on Match.com. By the way, for the Interests category, a little elaboration. I like both shopping and antiques. I don't like nightclubs, but I like dancing. I like fishing, but not hunting, although I enjoy target shooting and game meat. Another note: I am somewhere between "I do not drink alcohol" and "Social drinker, maybe one or two". I do not drink socially. Most, if not all, of my activities are strictly alcohol-free because I choose to not drink. I enjoy a glass or two of red wine every so now and then, but do not drink around family and friends because some of them are recovering alcoholics.
